WHO WE ARE

Ferry Farms is a fourth-generation family farm planted in the heart of Litchfield, Michigan. Since 1906, we’ve been raising crops, dairy, and beef cattle with one simple goal: to produce better food for families in our community. What started over a century ago with a team of hard-working farmers and a patch of good dirt has grown into a diverse operation built on tradition, grit, and a whole lot of Michigan pride.

We believe there’s no better job in the world than putting a seed in the ground, watching it grow into high-quality feed, and knowing it’s fueling healthy animals that’ll put real, honest food on people’s tables. That’s what gets us out of bed in the morning — and it’s the most rewarding part of what we do.

We believe God created this beautiful world, and it’s our job to care for it. At Ferry Farms, we proudly uphold responsible, sustainable practices to protect the soil, water, and resources we’ve been entrusted with. We’ve earned our MAEAP certification (Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program) — a voluntary, rigorous set of standards we follow because it’s the right thing to do. This land isn’t just where we work; it’s home.

Animal Care

The happiest cattle make the best beef. It’s that simple. Our animals get a balanced, high-quality diet designed by an on-farm nutritionist and reviewed weekly to meet their changing needs. When the weather’s good, you’ll find them out on fresh green pastures. When it’s not, they hang out in clean, sand-bedded barns with all the food, water, and comfort they could ask for. Healthy animals mean wholesome, better-tasting products for your family — and that’s what we’re all about.
